PRIVATE RESIDENCE: WEBSTER GROVES

Dennis Tacchi & Associates was commissioned to double the size of this existing 65-year-old home in Webster Groves, Mo.

The new two-story addition consisted of a new Kitchen, Breakfast Room, Butler’s Pantry and Family Room on the first floor with a new Master Bedroom and Bathroom Suite on the second floor. In addition a two car Detached Garage is included.

The addition was designed to blend seamlessly into the existing two-story residence. Details from the existing exterior were similarly designed as part of the new addition’s exterior.

The extremely limited site building area necessitated the close proximity of the detached garage to the new two-story addition. The new garage was designed using the same attention to detail as the home addition.

The Kitchen, Family Room, and Breakfast Room were designed to expand into one another thus creating a modern day space in a traditional home. The Breakfast Room is contained in a half-round element extending beyond the face of the main addition, allowing the dining seating to extend into and be surrounded by the extensively landscaped yard.
